Just bought one of these from REI. $20 is what I paid. Can get the similar item on amazon $16-22.

My plan is to wrap it in camo tape to quiet it up and and use it as a gear hanger from my tether. Namely for my bow. The open ended should be plenty to put through my bow cam, and i'll put the closed biner onto my tether.

I'll trial run it at home this evening, but figured maybe someone else would be interested.

Sounds similar to what I'm doing. This actually makes a great bow hanger.

I have one in my cart on REI along with a few other things. Just waiting to get my Mantis and test it out before I drop money on stuff I won't use if I don't like it. I saw a video that @g2outdoors did using one to hold his bow.

I used one all last year. It is a genius product and continue to use it. It will hold bows and firearms sufficiently in the tree without failure!!

Thats exactly how I hang my bow. If you take pressure off your tether like stand up to stretch or whatever your bow will slide down the tree some. Just a heads up.

That's why I girth hitch a second line weighted with my pack and hook my Qlipter to it. Then it is always held tight.
