During my most recent unsuccessful black powder hunt i made the mistake of sneaking off for a woods #2 in untreated (permethrin) clothes. I am now the owner of 100+ chigger bites around the ankles.

With that said.... Bleach is my go to home remedie for chiggers, fire ant, and wasp stings. Stops the itch/stinging and drys out the weeping. Anybody else have any home remedies for outdoor related stuff?

What is ur mixture concentration?

I’m a fellow FL hunter & know me or my friends will need to try this out eventually

Currently soaking in 1/4 cup bleach, 1/2 gallon of water for chigger bites. Full strength rubbed on fire ant bites
 
I just use straight bleach and table salt. Rub the salt and bleach in the bites and let set for a several minutes then rinse and wash with soap.
 
Topical application will reduce inflammation and force out the chiggers

But not like grocery store peppermint oil. More pure and natural. An essential oil quality peppermint oil. I try to use natural stuff as much as I can. Can’t always be avoided, but when I can go natural, that’s my first approach to all things. Health and wellness is a big thing for me.
