Hello all! I just recently picked up a new property to hunt. I haven’t set foot on this ground to scout or anything. And with the rut picking up, I would rather not waste a day in the woods for an opportunity to hunt. I understand you should scout more than you hunt. I just want to be in the right position to capitalize on the rut. I’m attaching a couple pictures of the property. How would you guys set up to hunt this? I know it’s hard when you haven’t walked the property for yourself but let’s cyber scout this and help me kill a big buck!

The above picture with the orange border is the property. There is a house which is the red circle and an Ag field to the north (blue circle)

Depending on the wind and your access, I would start either in the saddle to the NW of the house or just off the inside corner of the field along the southern border.

I would scout/hunt it from the outside in... go to the road you have the name crossed out and sit the edge of the ag field (start from west to east)on a good south anything wind watch the thermals for morning vs night sits. Try to find the movement into the Ag staging areas might be in the natural pinch points in the timber(depending on the bedding areas) I really like the one in the uppermost border center but there are really two of them on the upper border, maybe even three. Let us know how it hunts! Also need to see what's to the east of the property to determine hunting by the house.
