Is this some form of milkweed?

Came across this today while on a bike ride in my home state of MS. I don’t think it’s a species of milkweed, but it has all these fuzzys falling out of the pod. They float well. Gonna try it. Anyone know what it’s called ?

Looks like a weed. Dunno if I’d be spreading it everywhere haha

Yeah it’s down the road from the house but it spreads when the wind blows for sure. It has thorns on it as well. No idea what it’s called. Gonna head to google university.

Same stuff all over the place here in Louisiana and I thought about using it too bc I haven’t been able to find any milkweed here yet. No clue what that’s called though.

It's some type of thistle. Grew up in North MS and practiced little league baseball in a field that had those in it.

Canadian thistle is what it is called around here. Most people cant stand the stuff, I am am one of them.

Bull thistle! Spreads and grows like a fire I suggest not to use it unless you want dozens of those plants in your hunting spot

Maybe some one could send you some milkweed. I would but customs would not want a weed crossing a border.

It's hard to tell if you're joking via an online post but it could be a noxious/invasive weed, do some research before using it. People spend thousands getting rid of noxious weeds, not to mention the damage it could cause to native species if it is in fact noxious. As others have said, it looks like bull thistle to me too but I'm no expert.
