It's just...a little crush... - Review of the JX3 Hybrid Saddle

Heading to Georgia tomorrow for 10 days. Yesterday the bucks were running does all over the place. Looking forward to putting in some of my first hunts with my jx3. I haven't done enough practicing with it, but I'm looking forward to it. I ordered a jx3 step with top platform but unfortunately it won't arrive before the trip, so will just be using a ROS that I picked up from the classifieds.

Being that it's going to be 80 degrees most of the trip, I'm thinking I'm going to have to get down in the thick and wet stuff for the mid day and afternoons, so the versatility is going to be great. A climber would be awful to use in the places I need to go.

Nice. You will love how the wide top step pairs with the Hybrid. Bummer it's not making the trip with you. Good luck with the hunt!

Anyone try one of those bridge spreader thingys with a JX3?

When I start adding thicker outer layers I start getting unwanted pressure in the rib area (from the webbing that connects to the backrest). I'm a big rib cage guy anyway. If I stimulate the spreader with my hands it feels nice to relieve that pressure. I think they were made for rope bridges so I'm not sure how it would work on the Hybyid. Figured I'd ask before expiramenting on another wild goose chase.

I don't have any suggestions for you, but I too feel the straps on my ribs even without thick layers.

Has anyone tried 2TC with the jx3? Or think it’s even possible?

Sorry if this topic was already previously discussed in this thread.

Sort of.... I have used the tether that came with the JX3 to temporarily advance my climbing/rappel rope. I have done that on a couple occasions in a situation where I needed to. But I don't really 2TC at all, just in a pinch
