Opening day is here in Nebraska. Going out this afternoon to feed the mosquitos and try to get lucky. Anyone else going out today?
 
Awesome! Im jealous. How is the deer herd recovering? I hunted in Nebraska for the 2011 season and vividly remember seeing the effects of EHD...thinking about going back to hunt again next year.
 
Just got back SomthingOriginal and now I just have to get on the buck I want. The mosquitos aren't too bad with the 'ol Thermacell. Good luck this afternoon, it'll be a warm one! rxforssaddlehunt, the herd has/is recovering nicely and there are plenty of decent deer around.

I think the herd is looking good. Seems like the ngpc is happy with where the numbers are now. Starting to see more older bucks.

@Jtaylor thanks and nice to finally see another Nebraskan on here! Thought I was the only one.
 
It's actually cool and breezy out. Getting ready to print out my license regardless. I have to drop my daughter off at a friend's but after that it's hard to say.

Quivers are packed and bows are ready. The only thing I'm behind on is getting a lighter saddle. If I do go I'll probably grab the LW climber.
