IWOM is having a pretty decent sale, the XT is 319 as opposed to the normal 389 price tag. Which isn't too far from the 299 returned field tested used item pricepoint either. Other systems are on sale as well

I had talked to a very cool dude over at IWOM support last week. He was real friendly and answered my silly questions about it. I also wanted to see if they would make me the Stalker that doesn't cover the feet in predator grey (for some reason not an option).

I showed this sale to the wife, and she said that she didn't care, so I went ahead and ordered an XT in predator grey.

I figure after hunting, I'll throw it in my emergency kit in my car over winter, since Minnesota winters can be unpredictable at times. It might come in real handy for ice fishing too.

I have an Iwom xt, I wore it once last season, I was on a mountain top at about 2500’ sitting in my cruzr xc on a mission platform, it started snowing gently, I fell asleep, and woke up to about 4” of snow covering me and my pack laying on the ground, it was almost dark and I’m not gonna lie I was a little freaked out because I had a crazy long walk out that night and when I crawled into the Iwom I stripped my jacket off that I use to walk in and that was also laying on the ground covered in snow, I climbed down and shook the snow off my jacket and made it back to my truck super late, I hunt on snow all the time but this freak storm caught me off guard and I was packing way to heavy for where I was. The next day I slept in and went into the same area, this time dressed for still hunting, super light, and shot my buck for the season around lunch time. For the intended purpose those Iwoms are really something, it’s like being in bed while hunting, for super cold weather and long sits I don’t think they can be beat, I pack it in and get on my stand and then haul it up with a rope and climb in, then try to stay awake, when I’m done with my sit I just drop it down to the base of the tree and climb down, and pack it all up. I bet you will really like it being in Minnesota, I hunt upstate NY near the Canadian border and we get some nasty cold weather too, I have to be warm when I’m on stand or else I’m done, still hunting is a different story and I can take a little chill. Staying awake is my biggest problem with the Iwom, waking up in the middle of nowheres with a full on drool, dreaming sleep covered in snow and dark out was an experience LMAO.

Thank you sir. These might be my new winter duds
yessir.

what sold me is the fact that its all the winter clothes i need in one package, for basically the same price as a sitka jacket. im not entirely sold on saddle hunting in it yet, but im fine with ground hunting or possibly going for some late season muzzle loader too.

I don’t think I would have the stones to try and put this on up in the air if I wasn’t wearing a saddle, like in a normal tree stand harness or something, being in the saddle and tethered in helps when getting it on for me.

I hunt from a hang on so it should be fine for me. You stated the exact reason it seems ideal. One package for winter hunting.

Yes—all in one is nice. It packs well. Better than bibs and winter coat in my opinion. I like how it rolls up into itself and you can store other items within it also. It’s almost like a backpack also. It’s been a good piece of gear for sure—at least for ground hunting. I have the Badlands bibs/coat and IWOM. Both great pieces but I tend to grab the IWOM more often when I’m ground hunting.

Even with it being the off season and a holiday weekend, I ordered on Saturday night, it was shipped today, should be here either late this week or early next.

I forgot to mention that according to the guy I had talked to at IWOM, the 90 day return period doesn't kick in until like November, allowing you to actually use it before deciding if you like it.

it already came today, so with the 3 day weekend, it would've been the same as ordering Tuesday and getting it today. very impressive turn around time.

seems well made, and whatever fabric they are using now is quiet, I've heard people say it can be loud. From what I could tell it didn't look like the sleeve would cause much clearance issue for shooting my bow. I put it on for about 3 minutes, but its 100 degrees outside today, so I'm not planning on doing much with it for a while. Looks well made and though out and seems warm, I was sweating within the few minutes I had it on in my air conditioned room.

100 degrees outside here in Minnesota today, but its the weekend, so I have to play with my new toy. The ac is on anyways, and I figured that's a good substitute for a cool breeze. I cannot feel the AC at all, but I'm also not sweating in it in the 70degree house. I'm a fan, the more I play with it the more I like it, it rolls up into a neat little pouch. The only thing I see is that it is bulky and awkward in parka mode.

The pockets are nicely placed. The hood is comfortable to wear, and has a nice mouth opening and a slightly thinner fabric over the ears to let you hear. The muff feels great. the hand wraps are comfortable and don't feel weird on my thumb.

I put on my saddle and fed the bridge loops through the openings, and could see hanging with it on. The only concern I have there is the bottom part getting shredded on the platform top, but IWOM assured me it is tough.

I’ve had one now for about 4 years and love it. Still looks like the day I bought it. Just don’t dry it in the dryer, always hang dry it or your’ll ruin the waterproof zippers. This has been my go to once into the 30’s. No need for warmers. Great for when the temps get low, but horrible in the parka mode walking. I just attach it to my pack and carry it in wearing only base layers. Then at the base of the tree i put it on in parka mode and climb up. Once in my stand just pull down the legs and zip up. Haven’t had to leave the stand once for being cold. The arms are bulky, if bow hunting you’ll want an arm guard. Cost me a deer on year. This this is beyond water proof. I sat in a nasty storm one day for almost two hours sitting directly on the ground. Never got wet or cold. Had a yearling 10 yards from me and now clue I was there. Enjoy and try to stay awake!
