Here's a brief kill story from Jesse that he sent me after I had emailed him all the pertinent information on scent control

John

Hey just want to say thank you again!!! Got everything I needed to follow the scent control guidelines you sent me. Since then my wife and I hunted Saturday and Sunday together in the same tree using our new ScentLok gear from head to toe and using your methods. Both days we had mature does and a few mature bucks directly dead downwind of us and when coming in several of them crossed our entry routes without notice and none of them winded us!

Yesterday morning I put on my ScentLok suit and gloves and hung a new stand quietly in an area where we had been seeing the mature buck I was after. I went home got cleaned up and meticulously prepared my gear and ScentLok suit and headed out to the stand. By 5pm I had deer crossing my entry tracks directly downwind and eventually they were right under my tree. Not one deer stuck their nose in the air! After several years of having to hunt the wind, I couldn't believe it!

Well, sure enough the buck I was after (I believe a 4.5 yr old) came in with a few of his younger buddies. They came in on my down wind side and they were all within 20 yards of me and I was able to put a 14 yard shot on the buck that was standing where I had crossed a fence earlier that morning. He did not have a clue! More surprisingly, after the shot one of the other bucks picked me in the tree and was stomping at me, and he was dead down wind also. After two minutes of him staring and stomping he calmed right down and started feeding 25 yards away. My guess is that he couldn't smell me so he figured I was a non threat, even after he totally nailed me in the tree! Most amazing stuff ever!

Thank you again John you are the real deal and I appreciate you showing your findings with us other hunters. While most hunters would keep such information secret, you chose to lend a helpful hand.
