Ok, so went an scouted new area earlier today. Used satellite maps to see what terrain an area looks like. Scouted area that has a lot of low brush and mix of open areas of trees an brush. Seen tracks, poop, runs , beds. Kicked up a doe. Found spot to set up but unfortunately hunting
liscenes fell out of back tag holder so had to track around to find it. Found it an went back were I'm gonna set up. The area has hike an bike trails pretty close about 60 yards away. But was wondering how long should I wait to go back in and hunt it since I jumped her. Later this afternoon, or tomorrow?

Hunt it today!! The deer will be back as long as she didn't smell you and even then I wouldn't worry about it. The last two bucks I killed hunting tight to where they were bedded I jumped does and they blew and stomped and they bucks never paid any attention to them. They often bed on the fringes of where the bigger bucks like to bed so it's easy to jump them when trying to get close to the buck. Good luck and don't sweat it too much, it happens to me all the time I don't pay much attention to them if the wind is in my favor!

Two doe kills this year were after spooking deer. One was 30yrds away as I was setting my sticks, the other was 50yrds from where I was going to set up on my way in.

Couple days at most. If walking trail right there they wont be spooked too much should be fine

The first buck I killed this year I almost stepped on him bedded. He jumped up and bounded off and as soon as he was out of sight I went 60 yards towards where he ran to and quickly set up 10' off the ground. He came back literally 15 minutes later to check things out. He bedded 24 yards from me and as soon as he stood back up I ran an arrow through him. If you follow Dan Infalt he calls this tactic the "bump & dump". Sounds crazy but they bed in those spots for a reason, and when they escape danger unharmed, their bedding spot worked for them and they will come back to check things out and eventually bed back down if they don't catch any scent or see something they don't like.

Awesome thanks for the info. Ended up back out there this morning. Seen a buck and watched and waited as he was moving towards me. Then he jumped out the other way and then a doe a few minutes later same spot but the flag was up and she was bounding out too. Had another hunter come from were I spotted them so he spooked them. Don't think he realized he did it as he was kinda just walking around. Watched him for about 30 minutes just walking. Oh well public land it happens. At least I know the deer are in same general area.

At least you seen one
Make sure you note the directions the buck went
Note it and try to see on an ariel. Where you think he went. Im sure they ran to a thick ass bedding area they feel safe in. Then hunt it bro. Good luck
