Just ordered some Muddy Pro Sticks

I setup my Muddy's today for the first time on a mobile setup in the dark. They went up really easy. The aiders were a little annoying. The top loops were small and wanted to grab on the soles of my boots. I may change them out for CMIs. Other than that, I'm a big fan of the Muddy/aider combo.

How high do you think you got with the four steps on each one?
You can get them real high the way the Ropes up with the cleats is really nice.
I’m a huge fan of the muddy pros I just don’t like the weight I think they could be lighter.
Thinner wall stick and none folding steps would save a bunch on them imho

@ImThere I agree with the weight. The folding steps aren't all that important to me either. It's nice for packing, but i'd rather eliminate the moving parts. I've thought about making some fixed dual steps like @bowhunter15 did on his custom steps. I think that would make the Muddys perfect.

I was probably 20-21 at my feet. That's just a guess. The aider on my second stick was only a few inches above the one below it. The tree made a funny bend and I wasn't able to stretch it completely out. Keep in mind I'm only 5'7". I don't think I could use a 5 step aider at all. Maybe on a real skinny tree. The tree I hunted today was bigger than I normally use.

Here is me stretching out the 5 step black diamond. We are right about the same height /size (if I was in shape) lol

The Muddy sticks are awesome!!! Love them. When I'm setting up my camera I can tuck the Muddy arm base right into the top of the stick to steady it for the ratchet strap. Works like a charm.

What's the little loop on your top step? Is that how you hang it off your Saddle? And how are those boots working out for you? Love them? They're soooooo light!!!

The loops are how I hang them and it keeps the step closed. They are hair bands. Shh my wife is still looking for them. Lol
Lovin’ the boots. The soles are soft easy to sneak around in but I think a little soft in the steps.

Only way to go while on public land.......one stick with 5 step aider is lighter and the more you do it, the easier it gets. (27' in 7 min minus the time to place your choice of platform)

I've been using my LW sticks with aiders for a couple years. I think I like the Muddys better.

I've never tried the 1 stick. Maybe I'll give it a go.

You will. You will like the short stick, the double step, the rope, the cleats, the handle through the brush nicely

You won’t like they are heavy per ft, the steps get loose ant rattle and the tree brackets get loose. Pita keep tightening them.

$148 with free shipping from Jet.com. Hard to resist.
I got them for setups where I am not hiking or maybe I would use the 1 stick method on occasion.

I love the idea (never used them) of the Rope and the double steps and I know that I get more height from short sticks than long sticks. I have a set of short sticks already but the strap/packing system on them is terrible.

I already have Strapworks carry straps and several aiders and home made single webbing loops.

Any tips or tricks I should know about? I will likely use an aider on the bottom stick and single loops on the higher ones. I stay in the 15'-20' range.

How is it you get more height from short sticks than from longer sticks?
Also, how many sticks came for that price?

You have a link for that deal?
