Got his 1st for the year and my puppy tracked his 1st recovery. Heart shot, tracked for about 50 yards. Had a full ground blind.

Awesome!! What kind of training have you been doing with the dog? My boys are 3 and 1, can't wait!

Just dragging a deer hide with blood. He just took as a puppy and it became a game to him. He’ll also track my kids. I’ll make one of them stomp in a circle in one spot to give me a starting point to put him on and I’ll take the dog inside while my son goes hide in the woods. Then I’ll come outside with the dog and put him on the starting spot and he’ll find them every time.
There were 3 deer with this deer and he followed the right trail. I never found blood and it was a heart shot. I didn’t look hard because I was keeping up with the dog but it sure wasn’t pouring out. I wasn’t sure how he would do on the real thing. I need some more easy tracks with successful endings. I’ve never had a blood dog before. Rabbit dogs and duck dogs only. So he is teaching me as well.
