I am considering getting a couple of quick link triangles for my rappelling ropes so I don't have to pull the tail end through the girth hitch. My question is what knot does everyone that uses these recommend for attaching to your rope or are you just adding it to your end loop?

Mine goes on the loop I use to hitch to tree. I just open it up and add the main line then close it. Loop with a figure eight attached to main line with triangle.

Do you still use the triangle with the scaffold knot or did you switch to just using the scaffold knot altogether? I do like the idea of having the scaffold knot attached directly to the triangle instead of using the loop formed by the figure 8. Have you found any issues usi g the triangle this way?

I had to google scaffold knot. I’m learning that already know how to tie several types of knots. Just never knew the names of them!! I’ve used scaffold knots a bunch and did not know what it was called

For my rappelling rope, I am tying the knot to the triangle as shown. I tested using the knot on a tether and it does work, but I like my sewn tubular webbing tether and Austrialpin buckle better than anything I've tried so far.
