After rounding up parts I finally got the sewing machine timed and ready to work! Didnt realize it at the time but this machine is used to using tex 400 thread so just how thin of material can I actually sew with it without turning it into perforated cloth? As far as making knaiders and 5 step aides ( putting cordura wear pad in the steps and clip areas) this is a breeze. But I think I may be limited in the lower areas....

What machine is it? Im not familiar with tex 400 and when i looked it up what it showed is .9 mm. That i closer to rope than thread. Is that correct? I would think you can go to a smaller needle for lighter thread and not have problems. But if the machine is a dedicated heavy duty machine it may indeed not be capable if sewing thin material.
