I hunt hill country and wanted a small frame pack. I dont take a whole lot with me so I didnt want a big expensive kuiu bag or anything like that. Anyone who hunts hill country or mountainous regions knows how much it can suck to drag a deer out for miles. So I built this compact expandable frame pack a while back. Its really comfortable and I barely notice it while wearing it. Carries everything I need so I climb up with everything on me in one trip without a haul line. I built this from:

Kifaru E&E bag (cheapest one they make)
Kifaru strap system
ALICE frame and load lifter straps
Alice shelf

I have used an Alice pack for 20 years. I use a medium early season and a large in cold weather. That looks like a nice setup.
