Linesman belt 6 ft is it short? Just going to order one.

You know the old saying, "you can always make a long rope shorter, but it is tough to make a short rope longer". Actually, that may not be an old saying at all, but it should be.

Also, knots eat up some length, more than you may think; something to consider.

If you are buying the rope by-the-foot, I would recommend you buy an extra foot...or two.

Yup - a figure 8 could take up 18-20" of rope. Buy long. Mine's probably 8' after the knot. I've hunted with it many times, and never have thought "I need to cut some of this off"...

You can make your own...I have 25' feet of static rope that has never seen the outside that I could sell to you...you could then cut 8' of an LB. I have several long LB that I made myself.

I only hunt smaller, basketball to volleyball sized trees. If I cannot reach around with both arms and overlap, I will not climb it. The amsteel rope mods on my sticks are only 5 ft and have never come close to being too short. My linesman and tether are 6 ft from loop to end and have considered cutting them to 5 as well. All depends on the size trees you climb.

Buy 10’ and you will end up with a little over 8’ in length after knots and decent tails.
