Little sticks

I to hate pine trees and refuse to hunt from one if I can avoid it. I've got an idea for some super short climbing sticks I'm hoping to build sometime this summer. They'll have another purpose as well if it all works out like I'm hoping...

Just need to come up with a way to make the ropes more natural looking...maybe grab a handful of spanish moss while walking in to the tree to break up the outline.

I also made a sleeve for the attachment loop of my rope aider. I noticed some chaffing on the mule tape from the sharp edges of the sticks. Ifound a reflective ratchet strap last year while walking out. Cute two strips and sewed the two together like a mule tape sandwich. Sewed small strips of the reflective strap on either side of the three steps so I'll be able to see them better with my headlightIMG_20190615_182435.jpgIMG_20190615_183039.jpg
