I’m sure there’s many on here that have completed this task. I’ve searched YouTube but can’t find anyone giving exact dimensions on where to drill on an aluminum tube to make your own platform. I’ve gathered that most use a 1 1/4 inch square tube 1/8 inch thick around 9 inches in length. I also have gathered that you need to reinforce the spot where your bolt from the seat makes contact with the tube. But if anyone could give me the measurements (from the top) they made the holes for the seat and also standoffs on the top and bottom. I would also be interested if guys liked a versa button in the middle to secure or a strap that cams over the seat. Any help would be appreciated!

You need to cam it

Brackets are flush or 1/4 inch from flush on each end.

Seat should be centered, hole is maybe 3/4-1 inch north of center. Just mark center, put the seat to it then mark your hole. Doesn’t have to be dead nuts
