I'm sure this topic has been discussed here at some point but I'm fairly new to the site and still learning how to navigate. Would a 6mm "Prusik Rope" be sufficient to run with a ropeman 1 for my linesman/tether?

Are you talking about using the 6mm cord adjusted with a ropeman as your tether? No. Absolutely not.

First, use ropes designed for primary life support when you are using them for primary life support.

Second, 6mm is way out of spec for a ropeman. They are only rated down to 10mm rope.

Third, using a ropeman on your tether is inadvisable imho because they can cut ropes at levels of force that are very achievable with short static falls.

Appreciate the feed back. I seen where the minimum rope spec was 10mm for the rope man 1 after I posted the thread but figured I’d leave it up see what kind of input I got from some of the more experienced guys. Where did you find the info you attached to your comment if you don’t mind me asking?
