Who wants to hunt Tensas nwr on opening weekend of bow season there is a campground dead center of the place and I might have room at my camp. I have a 3 bedroom brick house about half a mile from the campground

That’s 11/6 weekend right? Got a few guys from work heading up 1st week of Jan for a 4-day hunt. We talked about going sometime before to hunt/scout some.

Only problem is that’s good pre-rut hunting where I generally hunt Plus the wifey might hurt me if I take too many trips away from home, lol

Yep that's the weekend it's a bad acorn crop there this year which usually means more deer traveling

Been hearing acorns are dropping like crazy most places so that’s weird. I’ll find out midweek in Kisatche if they falling. Finally gonna get in the woods!

I hunted Alexandria state park that weekend and couldn't find an acorn

Did you end up going? If so if it’s hunters bend campground you were staying at (I saw a couple guys messing with saddles in the corner cabins) I was up there with my dad for our traditional opening weekend at tensas.
