What’s some suggestions on how to tote individual steps in your bag? I’m thinking a bag of hair bands and rigging some type of keeper system for the straps in the bag.

Figuring on tucking them in once tightened down on the tree to keep from flapping in the breeze.

I cut some road bike inertubes so theyre wide rubber bands, liken ranger bands. They stay on the steps at all tine. Work great.

You can buy that rubber coated (reusable twist ties) at any camping store for around $7 for 15-20 feet and cut lengths to wrap the straps. Cheaper than the nite ize twist ties and more durable than hair bands.
