Hello,

I am a new saddle hunter and would really appreciate some mentorship in how to set up my saddle, adjust for comfort, etc.

Is there anyone in the Memphis, TN area who would be willing to meet up and walk me through it?

Thanks,
Caleb

Welcome to the never ending game of saddle hunting. This will be my first year, but I’ve spent a fair amount in a saddle since February and absolutely love it. I’m in Georgia or I’d meet up and let you hang in mine for a while. Someone will definitely be near enough to you.

Same as @M. Wilson, this is my first year hanging as well. I'm in the Little Rock area, so if you're not able to find someone close, perhaps we could meet up some time.

Welcome from Maine!

You will find that each saddle and person has their own way of doing things. Saddle hunting is a very diverse and DIY way of hunting. If you currently own a saddle, get out and tweak with it. Practice, practice, practice. If you do not, there are all kinds of comparison threads on here that will give you detail about certain saddles, including people's top 5 "ratings."

Most of us definitely encourage each other to meet up with people in their area to try equipment out if you can. With how much the bill can rack up with saddle hunting, it's better to be safe than sorry.

Good luck and hope you enjoy it! Be safe!
