Microsuede selfadhesive on amazon

Just a warning I bought similar stuff on eBay once and it was crap. Not saying this is, but I will always buy stealth strips since I found them.

I'll know in a few days... sometimes I just need to wrap a bunch of stuff...even gorilla tape gets me by sometimes. So if this stuff just stays on it will be useful.

IMG_0238.JPG The brown material came in today so I covered a carabiner. The material isn't as fuzzy as stealthstrip and doesn't stretch as much when you are putting it on.

Time will tell how it holds up but it seems high quality. Worth keeping some on hand for sure

What are you guys banging your carabiners against that you need to quiet them down?

Depends....On a NewTribe, your linesman's belt runs near the "paws". A pear shaped locking biner hitting the paws is LOUD at 5:00am in the woods.

I wrapped the paws up in camoform which helped a ton. I stealth stripped my rope man and all of the adjustment buckles on the leg straps etc. Carrying climbing sticks and wearing a saddle with a tether rig and lineman's belt plus your gear creates a lot of potential for noise when hiking in while wearing everything.

If you wait to put the rig on in the woods, there is a lot of noise potential while stepping into it.

I stow my Linesman's belt and tether in dump pouches on opposite sides so they can't bang together or get caught on anything while hiking in.

Anybody ever try shrink tubing on their biners? You wouldn't have to worry about it coming unstuck or leave a sticky residue upon removal....

I think that is a great idea. I did this on my treehopper style bolts, I don't see why it wouldn't work on biners.

I have been just cutting a length of tubular webbing and running the biners through it.

IMG_0245.JPG I did one. Holds up great, was difficult to put it on, wrinkles around bends and you can't easily get the whole thing covered.'

Oh those paws. Lol ive only got 4 carabiners and 2 ropeman 1 when I hit the woods and haven't had any issues. I never have more than 1 carabiner on a loop, so dont get contact issues. I dont pouch anything, they go over my shoulder when walking in and I store my lineman around the tree when hunting.

I have used shrink wrap, I found it tough to get situated and switched to hockey tape. Worked well but gets sticky when it falls apart.
