Let’s have a thread dedicated to the missouri season opening today. Anyone here out of state? Who’s hunting the opener? Post your kills here. I Hope to get on one on public land tonight
 
I was out this morning! Seen a fork horn and some pope and young squirrels!
 
I won’t get out there until early November, but I can’t wait. It’s one of my favorite places to hunt for sure.

I’m from Arkansas, been here 3 years in central Missouri. We’re really blessed to have so much public land that is really low pressure and great habitat
 
I have the opportunity to hunt a small parcel of private ground in southern Mo this year. Itll be a bit of an investment for the out of state tags, but itll be nice to hunt private ground for a change.
 
My brother talked me into a lease with a friend this year. Have some decent bucks on it, but i think that i could find just as good on public. Still, should be a good year. Wish everyone good luck this year! Ill be out in the woods next weekend

Got a double set in the smallest walnut tree in Missouri tonight. If one of us farts the whole tree will probably blow down. Hopeful we can tag my buddies first archery deer.

I am in Iowa 4 miles north of the Iowa/Missouri state line. Just north of Lancaster, Missouri. Our opener is October 1st.

Anybody else had any luck? Got a doe Saturday morning in Montgomery county. First kill from a saddle. Spent more time in the parking lot explaining saddle hunting to the guys there than talking about the kill.
 
I think I’ve passed a total of 9 different bucks so far. Can not find a big boy. Gettin ready to shoot a doe next time I can get out!
 
I’ve seen deer 4/5 times I’ve been out. Hunting does primarily right now, been busted twice, once by wind change another by movement as I was positioning myself for a shot.

It’s been fun, I will say!
