Results posted today. Anyone else apply? I got drawn the very first time I applied years ago but nothing since. I’m up to 7 or 8 preference points. I was hoping with all the new bow hunts being offered in St Louis county the odds would be better but my group struck out again.

Our group did not get selected either this year, but we got selected last year with 1 preference point. 7 or 8 I would think you would have been chosen for sure, however in Mo especially around St Louis I think you have to be very strategic on choosing the managed hunt you applied for since you only get one shot and it pick a popular CA it can be tough to get choose. Personally I stick with applying for the same CA I have scouted the most and plan on getting it every 2 to 3 years.

This is the first year I started putting in for the draws. I usually hunt national forest, so it's not a big deal for me. However my newphew has shown interest so we put in this year and didn't get it. Really I'm just looking to build up points so we can draw something closer to home for him.

We did not get picked either! Talked to someone in conservation office and they said applications were up almost 35% Everyone looking for something to do just like Turkey season, which SUCKED!

Not too big of a deal for us either. We have spots with 10+ years of notes on so any given weekend I could tell you where I want to be depending on the weather. We generally apply for STL county hunts like Babler State Park or Powder Valley cause if we get drawn I think it’d be very cool but if not it’s no big deal.

If I was a betting man, I’d say the famous 190 incher in Jefferson barracks caused the increase in applicants.

If you look through the data on prior years managed hunt drawings it’s fairly common for the number of hunters to exceed the quota. I always assumed this was due to groups applying.

I think this is year 12 I didn't get drawn. Oh well. My daughter did get drawn for a december rifle doe hunt. That will be fun. She will be doing it out of a saddle.
