My Arrow Build

My problem is the tears are not consistent. One shot is a bullet hole and the next might be a 3” tear. I am making progress after doing some reading on bow torque. Going to check out the Dudly school of nock series mentioned above.

Tear inconsistency (with the same arrow shot multiple times) pretty much eliminates bow tuning as the culprit. Nock tuning a set of arrows can help "fine tune" small tear inconsistencies between arrows, but not correct the difference between a bullet hole and a 3" tear. That has to be the shooter. Dudley's school should help. Also, an IQ bow sight with "retina lock", or some other anti-torque sight indicator can also help a lot. It makes grip torque visible to the eye.

So slonstdy whats your final handloads total weights? And how you gonna sight in? I was thinking of using the ranch fairy's idea of EZ V but I think I'll try a new sight tape first on my HHA Kingpin

Right now I've got two different arrows, a GT Hunter Pro 300 weighing 604grs and a GT Hunter XT 250 weighing 611 grs, both bare shaft with a 100gr ss Ethics insert. Gonna fletch with three 2" Blazers which will add another 19 - 20grs to the final weights and drop the foc a touch. I'm leaning towards the XT 250 as my go to load because I can't seem to make it not shoot a bullet hole no matter how I grip the bow or set up my anchor pt. The Pro 300 seems a touch sensitive but it might be the bit of nock slop because that arrow uses the GTO nocks which are smaller and loose fitting between my D-loop.
