need a good idea

I have been in a couple of leases , in the last 6-7 years, where members each set up a couple of tree stands, and anyone on the lease can hunt any stand.
this is what originally got me into wearing a saddle and having a safety rope set up. some of the stands on both leases are not set up too good. kind of hairy getting into the stand off a set of climbing sticks. the way some guys set up there stuff is dangerous and I have been trying to be super safe. hunted this saturday and wound up not
hunting because three of the stands the top of the sticks were way to screwed up to just step on and hunt. even with a lineman's rope.

so what is a good idea, on how to get into a stand that has no safety rope and a lineman's belt will not fit around the stand to allow safe entrance into the stand

I had a couple of ideas, maybe a second lineman's belt or how to get a safety rope into a stand from the ground.

on one lease I was girth hitching around the tree with a 30 ft climbing rope and moving it up as I climbed, then when at the top, trying to get the whole deal around the stand was an issue. but I felt safe as I had a way to self rescue if something failed .

since saddle hunting I have become scared to death of some of these stand set ups.

- Climb another tree. Problem solved.

- climb with lineman’s, girth hutch tether above seat of stand, step up onto platform, move tether up, just like you would with any standard saddle setup.

Do you use your saddle in the stands? Use your LB to climb and when you get to the stand put your tether on the tree.
