So I’ve run out of time to eye splice my rope for a tree tether before I go hunting this weekend and I’m not comfortable rushing it. So I need some input on what type of knot to use to make my tree tether with half inch double braid rope. Thanks in advance folks. Happy hunting this season.

Yes stopper knot is important. I use the figure 8 on a bight on both ends because I run my tag end back up and hook into my biner as a backup.
Right, so my old tether is basically like what you’re saying, a figure 8 on both ends. My tag end has a loop because my saddle is a rock harness with center loop. That’s hooked up and my bridge is hooked to the tether on a prusik. I was wondering if there was any other knot I might not know of that would be better.

I use figure 8 with double overhand knot over standing line.
