Hey guys,

I used to have a treesaddle and used it atleast two years. I loved it but had some issues with some shots. I've since realized that the saddle was too big for me and I never realized its full potential. I'm looking at getting the EVO soon and getting back my mobility!

Glad to be here and be a new member. I'm hoping to find some new ideas on a platform too :D

Welcome to the site! The Evo I had was comfortable, but I ended up having to sell it due to financial hardship (car payments became more important than another way to sit in a tree). I ended up doing a DIY saddle made out of a pressure treated plank and an extra lineman's belt. It's not as comfortable as the Evo, but it gets the job done.

Have you seen this platform DaveT1963 made? It's actually pretty brilliant (at least I think) and the parts are pretty easy to find on the Lone Wolf website and on Amazon. I'm probably going to make one myself when I get some money saved up to buy the parts.

Sweet man! That's awesome.

Can you still get most of the way around a tree with his design?

What part of Missouri are you in?
Was raised around Rolla,

Thanks,
Boswell

One of the videos demonstrates shot possibilities from that type of platform.

I'm just outside KC. I had no idea you were from MO man. We have talked in the past on AT back when I first started saddlehunting a couple years ago; you gave me some great advice of course :D

should have never left saddle type hunting and have missed it ever since!
