Hey everyone, I have been very interested in saddle hunting for about 2 years. Been watching Greg G2outdoors for sometime. His latest video has got me super excited. So I am new to this sight and honestly there is so much information that I dont even know where to begin. I am trying to find more on the knaider and how to make it. Any advice would be greatly welcome. I wont be getting anything until after this season, kids, money and I just want to take my time getting used to everything. I have chosen (not purchased yet) the mantis, wild edge steps and maybe the predator platform. I already ordered the aider in Greg's latest video. Again thanks for any information. Not even sure where this will get posted.

Welcome I personally don't use any climbing aids I do use the wild edge tree steps they work amazing there are a lot of people on here that do use Climbing aids and I'm sure someone will be able to point you in the right direction this is a great forum with a lot of great guys

Welcome from SE Michigan. You can spend the entire off season reading up on saddle hunting and everything that goes with it. Great site, great people.

Welcome from MA, How about telling us about that deer in your avatar. It sure is a beauty.

Thanks man. Took that deer in VA on the family farm in a swamp. Being in the military I haven't been able to hunt much in the last 10 years. So went home for Christmas and decided to take my wife and step-son out in a big box stand (because it would hold us all) honestly excepting to see something since its pretty open but not excepting to shoot anything. Had some does come out and this guy walked up in shotgun range. Biggest buck I've taken so far. Nice 8 but he was 200 after being field dressed. Normally when I can hunt its public (because I move often) and/or its on base which has so many factors, people always training and not know what is open until the day before, making it super hard. Super excited to get into a saddle next season.
