ALRIGHT!!! I'm new to saddle hunting and this site. What I do know after my collective 6hrs hunting from the saddle is that it's for me. What I also know is I know almost nothing about hunting from a saddle. I hope my first chance at a shot doesn't leave me hanging upside by the seat of my pants tangled in ropes.( it's a funny visual). I also know, hey look I know 2 things, my wife's gonna be thrilled, seriously this will be the place I can come and learn from like minded folks that have a ton more experience than me. I'm excited. Thanks all.

Hi Kurt and welcome. I believe I already welcomed you on another thread but I didn’t know you were from Massachusetts. I am also. Where about are you from in Massachusetts?

Thanks for all the warm welcomes. I'm From Belchertown,MA. I've not been on in awhile. I'll have you all know that I popped my saddle hunting cherry on the 16th this month, with a nice young buck from 15yds.

I’m also fairly new from central NH. Nice to know there’s others around! Welcome!

Just closed out the season here in MA. with a nice 7pt. Called him in with one soft contact grunt to get his attention, and then hit him with a tending grunt. He came in like he was on a string. 12yd shot. Second deer this year from the saddle. he came in from the 12 o'clock hit him when he got to the 4 o'clock. I couldn't have asked for a more text book hunt. Put a great shot on him. The position in the tree kept me hidden behind the trunk, and when he passed I had a perfect opportunity to draw. Consider me one grateful newbie.
