New Tethrd Single Stick and Climbing Video

I wish I had trees like that where I hunt. It's always limbs and rough bark. For me, it's not a great method for the majority of Okie trees.

I guess I'm going to try and do a steel copy of Carl's stick (can't weld alum worth a darn)

I really love that stick design

Before you do that, word on the street is they are gonna sell the exact components... maybe. You should wait and see

Why else show a video with it featured?

The deal breaker for single stick for me it the 2,3,4 stick set....while seated in the saddle I can't get full extension to set...that extra 1-3 ft each anchor set adds up....I also haven't tried the rope cam and I see how that makes a world of difference....my main dislike was not being able to fully extend like having ur foot on top of a stick or maybe in a stirrup

Yea I am hoping for that and really feel that Carl's stick is what the lwcg double step wants to be when it grows up.

Heck I'd just buy the CAD file and have some cutout... Or

... Purchase the step/standoff, pretty please?

So the use of the carabiner instead of a delta link in this video is pretty significant for me. Unscrewing that link for limbs can be a real pain. Using a carabiner would be a lot more efficient in terms of rope management and time up the tree.

Not just for one sticking but climbing with my tether in general.

I like the stick. I wondered what the standoff distance was. It is similar to an EWO stick with a scout and webbing aider and cam cleat. I do like the standoffs on an EWO stick. I thought the three step aider was interesting. I have a 20 inch EWO stick and a double 20 inch aider which gives the same distance
Not sure which would be easier to climb.
Less steps or shorter steps.
I was surprised he did not use a delta link.

I prefer safety. The delta link is not much more trouble than a screw gate carabiner

I just want one of those roll out pouches- I could get rid of my backpack with that setup. Every time I think k that I’m efficient I see something like that

Yeah that looked pretty slick. Seems like the weight would be a little better spread along your hip when campared with a bag

From the rumor mill the components, not the stick will be for sale, so keep those hopes up

I’m sure selling a full put together product for this purpose is a little expensive in terms of insurance, however I would love to hear the discussion of their 1 stick product to the policy provider.
