Do any of you carry everything you need for your hunt on your saddle? My saddle has two cgm side pouches that i can fit almost everything in. I’m thinking of adding a molle pouch to the back for extra junk and go without a pack.

Ape Canyon with two large CGM side pouches and bow spider suspenders…… carry bow on back and just bring in four beast sticks with a raptor platform on the top stick. Three step aider for the bottom stick.

If I want to go in super light the Sladder with either the Pursuit platform or just the Sladder foot stirrups for super quick hunts.

how do you like the bow spider?

It’s pretty good. It takes some getting used to but once it’s on your back you don’t even feel your bow. I’ve found dropping it in is pretty straightforward but removing it requires pushing the bow away from you slightly to align everything. Not a big deal with two feet on terra firma but My next iteration will be to climb with my bow on my back instead of pulling it up. I think for most setups it’ll be fine I’m just concerned for the occasional funky tree or lean where being able to release the bow due to body position may be a struggle. As of now I have a Doyle’s on a CGM pouch in the back middle of my saddle.

That’s a nice setup. Thanks

I set my saddle up to carry everything in on it. I told myself for quick sits, early season when I didn't need layers or just all around convenience.

It did not take me many sits to realize I did not enjoy feeling like the stick and platform I had attached to my saddle were pulling the saddle down. It was bought the weight and awkward distribution.

I worked at it for a bit before feeling like I was boiling the ocean for nothing. I'm far more comfortable just throwing them on a pack. Would it be nice to not need the pack? Sure, but wasn't worth it.

Hope you find something that works for you!
