Hi, everyone. I think I'm gonna try saddle hunting with my longbow and muzzle loader this year. I love climbing and the saddle method looks like something that's worth a try. If anyone from this forum is near Eau Claire or Chippewa county, it sure would be nice to get some feedback from you about your experience using saddles in county forest land. Either way, Hello all!

Check the saddle hunter google map. I believe there is a member from Eau Claire. Welcome from the oshkosh area!

Welcome, I am just North of you in Barron county. I'm in eau Claire ALOT!! I am not going to claim expert status as this is only my first elevated year, but I will help if I can! Wild Edge stepps and a sit drag with rock climbing harness.

You'll love saddle hunting! I use it in MN and its the only way I will hunt from now on. Welcome to the team!

Welcome. I’m from sauk county and also hunt in northern Wisconsin on county and public. The saddle is the way to go for Wisconsin public land imo. Nothing left in the tree to get stolen or give away your hard found money spot to a wanderer. Also Once you have a good mobile set up you essentially have unlimited stand locations.
