Original muddy pro steps clicking

Last year I had the top steps on my muddy pros clicking when I shifted my weight on them. Tightened the screws on the bracket that holds them to the tubing and they were fine. Now both the top and bottom steps are clicking and I cannot get then to stop. I’ve tightened them and loosened them but no matter what I do they click. Just seems like there is too much wiggle room between the teeth. Hoping someone here has a remedy. Thanks.

Mine does the same thing basically the only fix is putting on new steps from DanO!! And doing this makes them lighter also!!
