I’m looking for some packing help here. I currently have a Badlands Superday. There has been some cold weather here in Northern Wisconsin already and when it’s cold I wear Sitka Fanatic jacket/bibs. They are so warm that I cannot wear them walking in, so I want to pack them in. They absolutely do not fit in the pack. I also don’t like to wear my Mantis when walking in 3/4 miles. What I have done is pack the jacket and Mantis in the pack, and wear the bibs with the side zippers open. But, it’s really warm, even walking in 19° with wind.
Ideas?

Packrabbit pack mule. I switch between this and a 5.11 30L pack. But with the pack rabbit I load my jacket, hoodie, vest, saddle & ropes, h2o, calls, game bags, scent wafers, kill kit, and anything else into a dry bag. I can strap my bow to it if I am dragging out a deer, it looks bulky but its not that big.

The frame and straps are a bit pricey, but drybags are cheap. Also, no scent and my stuff stays dry in the rain.

It looks super goofy, but I have a huge but quiet dry bag (30L). I pack all my clothes in it and then attach that to my pack. I have my system in my pack set up, and I don't like changing that much.

I always use a larger pack (badlands clutch or 2200). The size difference while hanging on the tree next to you is minimal and I can pack everything that I need into and out of the field. I would rather have the room and not need it than need the room and not have it!!

Roll them bad boys up and use the straps on the bottom of the pack?

I used those straps yesterday with my wool pants rolled up underneath and my jacket and Mantis inside. I haven’t tried it with my Sitka bibs. I also strap my predator to the outside of the pack and that really seems to limit the inside space available.

I honestly have 2 different setups. Early season / ultra mobile I have a Predator inside a fanny pack (w/ shoulder straps) and 4 LWCG doublestep sticks strapped on with the bedroll straps. I can throw a jacket on top of the sticks if necessary. My other setup is a MR popup 28 with a LWCG Ambush and 4 Double step sticks strapped to the outside and whatever gear I don't wear in is packed inside, and if necessary strapped on using bedroll straps on bottom. A little heavier but way more mobile than a hang on and sticks. I also wear my saddle in. I'm very partial to using the bedroll straps. They're there, may as well use them.

Eberlestock J34 will give you plenty of clothing storage and still has the pockets and compartments to take care of anything else you have
I pack my firstlite sanctuary bibs and jacket in on the front of it and honestly on my X2 as well if you want a smaller pack

I have a tradition every November of picking the hitchhikers out of my heavy bibs and coat from carrying them on back of my rig. I have a dry bagged specifically for them. I just end up doing something stupid. Then I stow them with hitchhikers attached. This is year 4.

If I use this, and keep them compressed and inside my frame they’re fine.

I'm in the same boat, but I don't typically need a pack. I used a super cheap backpack recently for my stratus bibs and coat, no way the fanatic would fit. A lot of packs weigh more than I'd like to carry empty. Im thinking some sort of plastic frame with sweet straps and shoulder straps.

This thing works on my equinox pants, amazing.

This makes a lot of sense. I pack 12 climbing steps inside my bag and all my ropes, so right now I about fill up a 32L Mystery Ranch Scree.

For late season, I could use a 50L pack, so long as I keep my same climbing method, etc.

This place is so expensive...just ordered one of these. Thanks for heads up.
No joke this was my porch after about 45 seconds. And nothing on the burr thing to clean. Crazy
