Perception of saddle hunting

For me even though this will be my first year, I wish I had made this commitment 4 years ago when I first started checking this style of hunting out.

It is going to explode with the continued marketing and getting information out in front of the new hunters.

It allows you to be mobile or you can hunt from fixed stand you already have. The main thing for me is the safety factor. So many ways you can safely hunt a saddle.

So this weekend i had some continuing Education out of town and stayed at a hotel. Instead of joining the pissing contest that happens at the bar at these things i decided to hole myself into my room and try to splice eyes on my predator ropes. Well, late into the night i decided to call it quits and just get new ropes ordered with spliced ends. I get up and leave early for my class without cleaning up much.

During class i start to think about what housekeeping will think when they walk in and see ropes attached to random things around the hotel room and my kestrel laying on the bed. I hope they had a good laugh and i am glad i don't live anywhere near that hotel.

I was at an outdoor show yesterday and this guy starts trying to sell me a lock on. I tell him I’m a saddle hunter. He stops talking to me and to my friend who uses lock ons
