Hey I was curious what’s the best way to find out who owns a property near you? There is a field that is behind my property that I would like to try to get permission to hunt on but I never see anyone on it and I am not sure who owns it. Anyone have an experience like this or have an insight?

OnX. At least do the free trial. It opened up my hunting world. I’m telling you it’s worth every penny.

Sorry, not trying to be combative :) just lots of farmland and acreage here owned, but not habited. Totally dependent upon where you are. Knocking on the door is the best option if you can, agreed!

walk up and knock on their door

Ya there isn’t a dwelling or else I would. It’s a Sorghum field And I think it would be good hunting. I don’t see any stands or shooting houses

yeah i didnt think of that, here in FL there seems to always be a house on the property, I got permission on private land in NC by offering to do work for the owners in the off season, it traded off well and I just needed access routes not even to hunt their land.
