Platform on top vs bottom of post

So I’m making a platform from a double post lock on and seat. I see that some people have there platform at the top of the post and some at the bottom like the predator. Is there an advantage to having it at the bottom vs top?

This is what I have so far. Still need some sort of v bracket for the bottom cross bar. With just the one it actually seats pretty well, about like a climbing stick, and it didn’t kick out with side pressure.

I think from a physics perspective (I'm no scholar) platform on the bottom should be better (think pendulum). I've built both and bottom is what I settled on. I made one from a stand like yours. My advice leave the uprights long as longer is more stable. I cut mine for weight reasons and that led to not liking the platform and I abandoned it.
