Hey all, looking for some advice on where to place the lone wolf seat/platform and versabutton in relation to the standoffs on a diy platform. Not planning to attach strap to seat and cam over, is this a mistake? Should I just ditch the versabutton and cam over?

I have all the pieces and will be assembling another LW seat platform as soon as I find the time. My other platforms have all cam and lock solid to the tree. Yes I think the Bersa button would be convenient but the cam method is proven to be stable.

I can promise you that you’ll be disappointed if you don’t cam the seat. If you get any side pressure it’ll break loose.

Thanks for the inputs, guys. Sounds like cam it over or build it like the tetherd platform instead of two standoffs.

I’d have to see your seat. If you have a klemz style seat/platform then that’s the way you want to build it, like the predator. But you can’t use an assault seat with no teeth on it and put it on the bottom of a stick with single bracket up top, that won’t work for ya.

I hear you, and it's a lone wolf but rather than modify it, I may just sell it. i have a chunk of stainless and I may just build my own.
