Another new member interested in saddle hunting. Had never heard of it until I came across YouTube videos while researching climbing sticks last month. Y'all are some creative sons o' guns.
I hunt public land exclusively, and move with the military every couple of years. I'm currently in Northern Virginia, will be in Colorado next.
The idea of a quier mobile setup for long hikes has me intrigued. I've been humping around a heavy climber and a ladder stand for the last several years, and sat butt on ground for years prior to that.
I sold the climber and just bought a couple cast aluminum stands (XOP Vanish and a Rivers Edge Litefoot) with sticks/steps before I found you guys. Honestly will probably use my stands almost exclusively this season. However, I have a Sit Drag in the mail and will play around with it this season in the backyard and then a couple hunts to work out the learning curve.
