Looking to do a runner. what's the recommended size.?
 
Depends on your body size and type. Start with 24" and see how it goes.
 
A few people have mentioned longer bridges but I'm in the 24" camp too.

Carabiner length comes into play...
Best results come from tying webbing in place with no biners.
 
Generally I use a 24 inch bridge on whatever saddle I'm using. But it can vary slightly so you may have to adjust. That is a good starting point though.
