Just getting started here. I'm looking at using 1/4" Amsteel blue to make a whoopie sling bridge to figure out what length works for me. Afterwards, I'll make a fixed eye bridge with 1/4" Amsteel. Question is: Can I just 'disassemble' the whoopie to reuse the 1/4" Amsteel as a fixed-eye bridge? If I use a stopper knot instead of a buried end on the tail, I think I can just undo the adjustable bury and reuse the same cordage. I'm not trying to be cheap, I just don't think I would need to have an 'extra' Amsteel whoopie sling laying around for any reason. My assumption is 'yes', but I don't know if adding the bury in the middle of the rope does anything to stretch the fibers, etc. that would weaken it. Has anybody read any specs on that?
TIA,
CJ
