Ropeman on linesmans rope pic Please

Looking for how you all run a Ropeman on your linesman belt. I have one on my Treestrap and second I wanted to use on my linesman rope but my mind says its gonna make a lot of noise on the carabiner.
 
The ropeman pinches the carabiner to the rope so it shouldn't make any noise.
 
I reckon I mean where the carabiner connects to the metal on my saddle, other think I didn't like was its in a tight working area I feel like it might get knocked and slack out some.

What saddle are you using where the carabiner connects to metal? And I don't understand how the ropeman affects this. Without the ropeman you'd have a prussic or similar knot and you'd still have a carabiner attaching to the metal.
 
It doesn't make any noise on the lineman belt. No issues with tight spaces or getting knocked either. I've been using it for 3 years.

First I had a webbing belt that came with the TL tree saddle. Then I changed to a rope with prussic. Finally I settled on the Ropeman. There are no downsides to the Ropeman.
 
Yup swapped it out and happy, don't know why I thought it would hi the multipoint on the aero hunter.

What kind of rope are you using? I love the ropeman but the rope I an using is from a HSS which is heavy and bulky and would like something lighter that packs better.
 
I'm using 1/4 amsteel blue for my bridge. My tether and lineman belt are Bluewater assault line. I'm about to upgrade those to Samson ultra-tech. It is smaller and lighter.

How long is your bridge for the sit drag using Amsteel? I need to attempt splicing a bridge but don't know the length.
 
it's just over 2 feet (finished length). If you watch my custom sitdrag video on YouTube, you'll see the dimensions.

Some like a short bridge, some long, some like to adjust on the fly. Amsteel is so light and awesome, why not make a whoopie sling for a bridge? If later on you find your not changing it, that's the size for you and you could make a fixed bridge out of the whoopie rope.

HSS rope and carabiners are junk!
If I recall correctly, Yale Bandit is what NewTribe supplies. It works great with the ropeman and holds knots really well. That would be the conventional route if you don't do the splice/amsteel thing.
