What's Up Saddle Hunting Community,
So confession I am not a saddle hunter, yet. I really like the idea of being mobile and not having to lug my climber through the briar patch for miles to try to get to the honey holes. I also hunt mostly in Georgia and Alabama, so when its bow season, it's hot. When I hunt deep in public land, I am always worried about meat spoilage since I have to lug the climber out and then go back with a pack and carry out the quarters. I would love to go in with my pack frame already with me and just carry my stuff in my pack. Here is my dilemma: I am a graduate student and ain't exactly flushed with cash. I've heard all the hype and I'd love to buy in if, however, I'd really like to try it/have someone kinda show me the ropes before I drop some cash on a system. Are there any places that let you try saddles or anybody who has one that could show me the ropes? I know that most saddle companies just sell online, but I didn't know if there were any seminars or anything in the southeast. If I can try one and can see how to do it, I think I will be team saddle for sure.
I really appreciate the help,
