Saddle grounded

yeah. about a month ago the wind was so bad that a couple falling branches scared me down and I finished the evening sitting in my trophyline with my feet on the ground.

it was nice....for grandpas

I've used my web a number of times from the ground and it works great. I was hunting this weird public area for awhile where it had been logged at some point earlier and the growth was such that I could see further on the ground looking under the short canopy than looking down from one of the few remaining trees into the sea of brush.

Also did it on a couple extended scouting/hunting trips where I like to pack light for the long hike but also want to ground hunt/rest during the day. Although now I use a hammock seat for those trips instead so it all fits into a backpack.

That was the issue for me, to thick to see from above, I actually ended up laying my muddy sticks on the ground behind me during the hunt.

This is my first year using a saddle style stand, so every time I've used it has been at ground level. So far I enjoy it enough to spend more money on platforms and sticks.
