Ok gang. Here's the deal. I'm new to this and really excited about it. I've built my sit drag, spliced my amsteel...sewed on my dump pouches and all the needed ( or wanted ) webbing by hand...I'm pleased with it, but experiencing some hip pinch. More amsteel on order to create longer bridge to attempt to ease the pinch as well as losing as much weight as possible. Does anyone have any patterns for saddles available? I have all the webbing I can stand to use...I also have the sewing machine etc. I would simply purchase the flex, but I'm about out of money for this year ( says the wife ). I would lov to DIY a saddle if I can find a pattern.

Use some webbing and see if you can get a longer bridge and make the sit drag comfortable.
Then seek alternatives if it don’t work. Is any one near you where you can see /try a Mantis or Kestrel?

I'm in Northern NC near Martinsville VA...I've not linked up with anyone yet... I'm fixing to try a longer bridge once I get the extra amsteel

I'm in the Raleigh area. I have a kestrel and a flex if you want to try one out. Also if you're on Facebook we started a Carolina saddle hunter group to have a good local source of info.
