Hey I just picked up a B20 on eBay. Pretty much stole it! Lol.

My question is, how do you convert it from RH to LH hand bow? Anyone seen a tutorial on this?

I scoured YouTube and couldn’t find a video. Emailed Gearhead and they responded quickly and told me the things that need changed but not in-depth of how to do it.

Gearhead reaponse:

“Hey Aaron, there may be some videos on U tube explaining the process. We did not publish it in our catalog. You basically need to remove the grip , flip the bow over 180 degrees then reattach the grip. Then move the cable bracket and rod to the opposite side and adjust the rod angle. You will have to flip the string and make sure cables are routed ok and not touching and that really it.”

I have a press to do it just want to make sure i swap it all correctly. I can take it to a shop if I have to but it’s 1.5 hours away and more $$.

Only thing questioning is “flipping the string.”

Thanks in advance!

My understanding is that you have to reverse the string opposite of what it is currently because your peep will be in the wrong spot and thus serving will be in the wrongs but also. I am going to switch to left hand next season due to eye dominance. I have a, B24 that I just recieved couple of weeks ago. You might want to poke around on Facebook for gearhead specific groups. Good luck and keep this thread updated so that we can all learn!

Thanks! J

Thanks for the advice. Just requested to join gearhead archery fan group on FB.

I’m just shocked no one has done a video since that is one impressive feature about the bows. People just seem to mention it. I haven’t done a deep dive look at the cams to see how to route the cables yet.

Hopefully it’s not too bad.

Here’s a funny gear head video. @g2outdoors looked like he just stepped on a land mine. I don’t blame him. I probably would have tossed it and dove behind something.

I saw that video. Crazy it could even do that... id prob have to find a change of clothes afterwards!

And that wasn't the bow's fault. Definitely the technician's.

I like the Gearhead bow. It's fun to shoot.

I wouldn't recommend the T18 unless you are confident you won't be shooting over 30 yards. I think the 24" is probably the best option.

I got the bow all swapped over to LH. The group on Facebook gave a little more in-depth knowledge. Just need to order a new rest and get this thing ready to shoot.

Greg what length arrows do you shoot in that bow. I really like the size of it but 28-30 inch arrows in a quiver somewhat negate the super short ata. That said back in the old days of overdraws I ran a 26” arrow with a 30” draw.
