Any of you guys self film from your saddle? I have not done it from a saddle but I plan on doing it. I got started self filming this past year and got addicted to it. I use a 4th arrow camera arm and mount and a Sony handycam 675. Wondering about where you mount camera arm. I plan to use the tree as a buffer and I’m right handed. My saddle hasn’t arrived from Cruzr yet but should soon.

Following, started filming fishing this summer and I am going to attempt to film a kill.

Self filming from the saddle can be tricky sometimes because you can shoot all the way around the tree. I have the forth arrow arm and base too and it has been good. I use a Sony handy-cam as well. It is an older model but still produces great video and it's compact. I tend to put the base right in front of me on the tree so that way I can swing it to my strong or weak side for the shot. With the base and arm in front of you the arm will fold up nice to the tree so it is not in the way. You might have to play with it some and see what works for you. Also I have learned that you won't always be able to put you base and arm in the same spot if you hunt different trees with splits and crooked limbs and such. the adjustability of the forth arrow setup is great and allows you to get creative with your placement. As a rule of thumb I always put my arm and camera where I can run it with my release hand while my bow is in the other.

This year I am going to try the LWCG pocket arm and see how I like it. I loved my forth arrow but If I like the LWCG arm it will be a good bit lighter and take up less space in my pack.

That’s what I had in mind. I figured waist level would keep it out of the way as it can maneuver easily. Thanks for the pic.
Yep no problem! I like mine high enough where I can put my knees on the tree right below it when I want to sit and low enough that the arm doesn't interfere with my bridge. It takes some getting used to but you will figure out where you like it after a few hunts
