Sewing on a Climbing Harness

I’ve recently bought a petzel gym harness to replace my Black Diamond Coulier. I like it ok but like all harnesses, they lack linesman’s loops. I bought some 2” tubular webbing and ran the harness waist belt through that, then bought a sewn sling and ran than under the tubular webbing. It’s ok BUT not being sewn it can pull through the tubular webbing. How safe would it be to tack the sling on the waist belt or the harness?

Also has anyone permanently attached a sit drag to their harness? I’ve thought about this but I like to switch up leaning and sitting. I’ve thought about two sit drags or sewing some mesh and attaching thag to the legs and waist and linesman’s loops. I know I could buy a premade saddle but I one stick quite a bit and not sure how safe that is with a saddle and bridge only.

I like using two sit drags but wouldn’t want either one sewn to my harness. The ability to move them around independently is what it a super comfy system imo.

Sewed a lineman belt on my harness using a strap from the sit drag. Check out my diy post.

I’ve got a RC harness with lineman’s loops somewhere in the classifieds, if you are interested.
