I know this information is out there, but I've been doing some searching with no luck. I'm looking for some instruction/advice on making a one step aider for my muddy pro sticks.

Thanks in advance

Lots of guys just take tubular webbing and tie it in a giant loop using a water knot. Some add something where you put your foot to keep it open. I just use this. It's made to hook in via caribeaner but I just girth hitched an amsteel loop where the caribeaner should go. Then I just drape the amsteel loop over the top of the stick. The length is adjustable. At the tag end there is also a loop. I attached a non weight bearing caribeaner and hook that into my linemans loop. That way I can just drop it when I climb and it will stay 'at the ready'. Also it has a cinch so it stays on your foot which is really nice esp when descending. Its $40.

Here's a good video from DIY Sportsman for a non-movable aider. I'm considering doing the same type of thing to get a little higher or eliminate a stick.

Some guys thread a section of rubber hose over the outside of the webbing rather than putting things inside it. I checked REI and it appears they don't have the webbing he refers to anymore.
